This is my father, brother and I at the luau we went to at Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii!
They were inviting people up on stage to do the hula dance with them, and since I felt like I was dressed the part, I jumped right up on stage… when really I had no clue what was going on. FAIL.
Luau
Along with the low-stress type of lifestyle in Hawaii and the great waves and wildlife, something that I noticed to be a huge thing was the luaus.
A traditional luau is a Hawaiin feast where they feast alongside music and entertainment. The entertainment in most cases is the hula dancing. The hula dancing is done with lavish costumes and mind-boggling dance moves by traditional Hawaiin women.

Hawaii
When I was browsing through a magazine last week, I ran upon a article about Hawaii and all the beautiful things in Hawaii, but for me it wasn’t the stylish homes (because I didn’t really see many) or the lavish resorts about Hawaii that kept me engaged for two weeks, instead it was the way of life.
The beach, the hot air, the sun shining down making beats of sweat run down your body, the music playing in the background, and the surfers who just dotted the aqua blue water like clouds in the sky. I loved this place.
We were at the North Shore and I was swimming in the water when my mom screamed because she said there was something behind me. So I turned around and what did I see? ….. a massive sea turtle! I was swimming with sea turtles, when the waves would white cap I could see their heads in the waves, so as the one turtle made it in to shore, I just had to get a picture with him. I say him because I named him Sebastian after I left, and vowed to return to this land one day.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
– This quote speaks to my heart.Traveling, a hobby and passion.
Okay guys, my name is Ali and although I might be pretty young to some (22 years old) I love to travel, and I think about, dream, research places I want to go to all the time.
This blog is to all the people out there that might not have enough money to take lavish trips, who have traveled and want to share their experiences with people like myself, or even people that are just curious about what I have been doing.
